Another year, another carefully selected barrel to celebrate the day we opened our doors!
This year we chose a wheat whisky that spent three years in new oak before being transferred to a recently emptied Patent 5 rum barrel for an additional 18 months. Now four and a half years old, it offers an elegant option to celebrate your own milestones.
This whisky was bottled at near cask strength to maximize the depth of flavour in every sip. We love how the natural sweetness of the wheat and the depth of the malted barley play together. Notes of coconut, cedar, and dark chocolate are prominent on the nose. Oak tannins provide initial dryness on the palate before giving way to the rum influence, which softens and extends the finish. We hope you love it as much as we do.
