JOB DESCRIPTION
Patent 5 – Marketing Manager
Reporting to the President/CEO, the Marketing Manager is responsible for achieving the events and online sales objectives and outcomes. Events coordination duties include selling and marketing events, fielding inquiries, bookings, planning and preparation, staffing, and events execution. Online coordination duties include developing and executing Patent 5’s online (social media, website, Skip, Uber) presence strategy, and the fulfilment of online orders.
We’re looking for an individual who is passionate about customer experiences, with strong retail leadership, sales and online marketing skills, along with innovation and the ability to represent the Patent 5 brand.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the Patent 5 events portfolio—currently includes distillery tours, cocktail classes, and participation at select markets in Winnipeg and in other areas of Manitoba, corporate functions, gin distilling workshops, etc.—in collaboration with Patent 5’s CEO, Bar Manager and salesperson
- Develop and execute Patent 5’s online (social media, website, Skip, Uber) presence strategy, including fulfilment of online sales orders
- Manage the Patent 5 events portfolio to ensure alignment with Patent 5’s brand and customer needs, to achieve events objectives
- Manage the events calendar, inquiries, and bookings to maximize the utilization of Patent 5’s cocktail room and barrel room
- Manage and execute Patent 5’s participation in markets to achieve market sales objectives; represent Patent 5 at key events and markets
- Promote, market and sell Patent 5 events in person and online
- Develop and execute Patent 5’s online (social media, website, Skip, Uber) presence strategy, including fulfilment of online sales orders
- Hire, onboard, train and manage members of the Events Team
- Train and supervise Events Team staff to ensure a consistent outstanding customer experience aligned with Patent 5’s premium brand
- Maintain an Events Team schedule; coordinate personnel for each event and ensure appropriate staffing levels
- Coordinate facilities, inventory, equipment and staffing for events. Order all supplies for events
- Communicate with the Production Team and coordinate the delivery of internal events pick orders
- Review sales and reconcile inventory at the end of each event; collect and deposit cash
- Collect, analyze and report events and online sales data
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of all Patent 5 products, services, production facilities and methods; teach these to Events Team members
- Communicate events calendar and other related information to Patent 5 members in a timely manner
